Our History Since 1941

​

EKB Kitchen & Bath Remodelers has been a Kitchen remodeling company since 1941. The company originated in the center of Union County as Tru-Art Kitchens focusing primarily on custom cabinetry for residential customers. Then in 1980, Martin the original remaining owner moved the company to Linden & re-incorporated as Economy Kitchens to cater to a wider variety of homeowners with a solid oak refacing system. Then in 1986 Jay joined the company as a sales consultant.

In 1994 Jay and his partner Tom purchased the company & added bathrooms to their ever expanding abilities. In September of 1996 the company moved to Rahway to a larger facility to accommodate its ever growing needs.

 

In the fall of 2018, Jay moved the company to Scotch Plains, NJ focusing on the needs of the next generation of homeowners & following the modern trends by creating a state of the art showroom under the new name EKB Kitchen & Bath Remodelers to be in the heart of our customer base.

 

As always, we will continue to offer design & installation by our own staff of professional installers.
